Book Discussion with Author Mary Maki

Mary E. Maki grew up in the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York where her first two mystery books are set. Her fourth Caitlyn Jamison mystery, Deadly Secrets, is set in the Adirondacks. She is a member of Sisters in Crime, Fredericksburg (VA) Old Town Sleuths, and facilitates the Central Rappahannock Regional Library’s Memoir and Fiction Critique writing groups.

As well as writing mysteries, Mary is a family historian. She has produced genealogy monographs on her Agard
and Nunn family lines.

She played an integral part on the team that produced three volumes of the Newtown (CT) Oral History Project, Newtown Remembered, the Ulysses Historical Society (NYS) Oral History Project, and the Newfield, NY Historical Society Oral History Project. This fall she will be involved in transcribing interviews of the local farmers of Fairfield, County, Connecticut.
